LeoPalace Resort, sprawling across 5.2 square kilometers in the interior hills of Yona, is a luxury golf resort and sports complex built directly adjacent to the tragic WWII Manenggon Valley concentration camp site. In July 1944, Japanese occupational forces forcibly marched over 10,000 CHamoru men, women, and children across Guam to Manenggon Valley, forcing them to survive in squalid open-air conditions along the Manenggon River prior to American liberation. Today, guests, golfers, and resort employees report widespread ghost sightings, disembodied weeping along the riverbanks, and mysterious spectral encounters inside luxury guest suites.
