Hollókő Castle (Hollókői vár)
Perched on a steep rocky hill above the UNESCO World Heritage village of Hollókő, Hollókő Castle is famous for its origins in raven folklore. Built in the 13th century by the Kacsics clan, legend says ravens transformed from devils built the stone walls at night to save a kidnapped noblewoman. Today, visitors explore the restored pentagonal keep and report seeing phantom ravens and misty shadow figures along the battlements.
