    Villa De Vecchi

    Villa De Vecchi, widely known as 'The Ghost Mansion' (La Villa Rossa) or 'Aleister Crowley's House,' is an abandoned 19th-century eclectically styled mansion set in the dense forests near Cortenova in Valsassina, Lombardy. Built by Count Felix De Vecchi in the 1850s, the villa was struck by tragic family murders, madness, and eventual abandonment. Renowned for legends of phantom piano music, occult rituals, and a curse that spared the house from a massive avalanche, it remains one of Italy's most haunting ruined estates.
