Carved through solid rock in the pre-WWII era, the tunnel connects Gridley Lane to the main base housing complex. Celebrated across military ghost lore, Gridley Tunnel is famous for late-night encounters with a vengeful samurai ghost who reportedly appears before solitary travelers on rainy nights.
