Gutenberg Castle
Gutenberg Castle rises majestically atop a seventy-meter freestanding limestone hill in the southern commune of Balzers. Occupied continuously since the Neolithic era, this remarkably preserved medieval fortress is renowned across the Rhine Valley for ancient bronze ritual artifacts, dramatic siege legends, and lingering spectral sightings of phantom sentinels guarding its high stone battlements. Standing quietly along the scenic Alpine Rhine Valley, this location remains one of the most celebrated stops for travelers interested in dark tourism and historical legends.
