Joffreville Ghost Town
Joffreville, also known as Ambohitra, is a quiet, decaying colonial hill station located at the base of Mount Ambohitra near Montagne d'Ambre National Park. Established in 1903 as a retreat for French naval officers and Foreign Legion troops, the town features abandoned officer villas, overgrown military quarters, and crumbling sanatoriums haunted by ghostly soldiers, shadowy apparitions, and phantom bugle calls.
