St. Peter's Cathedral - Likoma Island
St. Peter's Cathedral on Likoma Island in Lake Malawi is one of the largest stone churches in Africa, measuring over 100 metres in length. Built by Anglican missionaries between 1903 and 1911 on a site previously used for public witch-burnings, the vast brick and granite structure is widely rumored to harbour phantom choir music, echoing footsteps, and lingering spirits from its dark pre-colonial past.
