Telouet Kasbah
Telouet Kasbah, also known as the Palace of the Glaoui, is a crumbling mountain fortress located along the historic caravan route through the High Atlas Mountains. Once the palatial seat of Thami El Glaoui, the despotic Pasha of Marrakesh who ruled southern Morocco with an iron fist until his downfall in 1956, the kasbah combines breathtaking zellij tilework with dark subterranean dungeons. Visitors exploring the decaying halls frequently report chilly winds, disembodied footsteps, and a haunting sense of tragedy lingering over the abandoned palace.
