De Haar Castle
De Haar Castle is the largest and most luxurious fairytale castle complex in the Netherlands, situated near Utrecht. Rebuilt in neo-Gothic splendor by architect Pierre Cuypers and the Rothschild family, the estate is haunted across Utrecht by the tragic spirit of Konrad van de Haar, who drowned in the moat during the Middle Ages.
