Mohenjo-daro
Mohenjo-daro, meaning 'Mound of the Dead Men' in the local Sindhi language, is one of the world's oldest and most important ancient urban settlements. Built around 2500 BCE by the Indus Valley Civilization, this UNESCO World Heritage Site in Sindh's Larkana District was a sophisticated metropolis featuring advanced grid urban planning, burnt-brick architecture, complex covered drainage systems, and the famous Great Bath. Today, the 4,500-year-old ruined city is globally renowned not only for its historical significance, but also for haunting legends of ancient massacres, unexplainable radiation theories, and ghostly apparitions wandering its silent brick alleys.
