    Trivale Forest

    PiteștiRomaniaAncient / Modern

Covering over seven hundred hectares on the western edge of Pitești in Argeș County, Trivale Forest (Pădurea Trivale) is an ancient secular oak forest known both as a protected natural park and as one of southern Romania's most chilling paranormal sites. Steeped in macabre folklore, the forest is world-famous for the legend of the Headless Bride—a young woman whose wedding turned into a tragic bloodbath in the woods—as well as reports of satanic rituals, mysterious missing time experienced by hikers, floating glowing light balls, and ghostly apparitions wandering among century-old oak trees.
