Devil's Town (Đavolja Varoš)
Đavolja Varoš, or 'Devil's Town', is a bizarre and dramatic geological formation situated on the slopes of Mount Radan in southern Serbia. Consisting of 202 eerie, tower-like earth pyramids capped by heavy stone blocks, the site is surrounded by two highly acidic mineral springs known as Devil's Water and Red Well. Local Slavic legends explain the towering rock pillars as a wedding party petrified by God to prevent an incestuous marriage engineered by the Devil, while whistling winds echoing through the rocks at night continue to fuel tales of demonic activity.
