    Wat Kudi Dao

    Wat Kudi Dao is a magnificent 18th-century ruined Buddhist temple situated in the eastern sector of the Ayutthaya Historical Park. Once a grand monastic complex restored by Crown Prince Borommakot, it was destroyed during the fall of Ayutthaya in 1767. Today, it is celebrated as one of Thailand's most legendary haunted sites, famed for the curse of 'Pu Som Fao Sap'—a headless guardian spirit bound to protect royal buried treasures buried beneath its crumbling brick altars.
