    Lutsk Castle, also known as Lubart's Castle, is one of the largest and best-preserved 14th-century brick fortresses in Ukraine. Famous for hosting the Congress of European Monarchs in 1429, the citadel has a dark history of executions, Polish-Lithuanian wars, and secret sunken dungeons. The spirit of a young maiden murdered for rejecting a Polish commander still haunts the Lubart Tower.
