Pidhirtsi Castle in Lviv Oblast is widely celebrated as Ukraine’s most famous haunted fortress. Built in the seventeenth century as a palatial residential stronghold, the estate became notorious due to the violent murder of a young noblewoman by her jealous husband. Known as the White Lady, her restless ghost still haunts the vaulted stone corridors, drawing paranormal investigators and dark-tourism visitors from across Europe.
