The Read House Hotel
Originally established in 1872 as the Crutchfield House and rebuilt in 1926 as a grand Georgian-style hotel, The Read House in downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee, is one of the Southeast's most famous historic hotels. Famous for hosting legendary historical figures including Al Capone, Winston Churchill, and Gary Cooper, the hotel is equally renowned for its intense paranormal activity centered around Room 311, where a tragic 1920s murder gave birth to the legend of the 'Lady in Blue.'
