Woodburn Mansion
Woodburn Mansion, constructed around 1798 in Dover, Delaware, is widely acclaimed as one of the finest Middle Period Georgian homes in the state. Since 1965, Woodburn has served as the official executive residence for the Governor of Delaware. Beyond its political significance and architectural beauty, Woodburn holds the title of Delaware's most famous haunted executive residence, renowned for a spirits tradition that includes a wine-drinking 18th-century ghost, a phantom colonial gentleman on the grand staircase, and a young girl carrying a candle near the reflecting pool.
