Manassas National Battlefield Park
Located in Prince William County, Virginia, Manassas National Battlefield Park preserves the historic grounds of two major American Civil War confrontations: the First Battle of Bull Run (July 1861) and the Second Battle of Bull Run (August 1862). Together, these brutal clashes claimed over 22,000 casualties, shattering early expectations of a quick war and establishing the iconic nickname of Thomas 'Stonewall' Jackson. Widely regarded as one of the most intensely haunted battlefields in the United States, visitors, park rangers, and reenactors frequently report encountering ghost soldiers marching through morning mists, hearing phantom cannon fire echoing across Henry Hill, and seeing bloodstains mysteriously re-appear on the floorboards of the historic Stone House hospital.
