Overholser Mansion
The Overholser Mansion, located at 405 NW 15th Street in Oklahoma City's historic Heritage Hills neighborhood, is an extraordinary 11,000-square-foot Chateauesque mansion completed in 1903 by Henry Overholser, widely celebrated as the 'Father of Oklahoma City.' Built four years before Oklahoma achieved statehood, the three-story yellow sandstone residence was Oklahoma City's first true mansion. Preserved in its original 1903 state with authentic furnishings, hand-painted wall canvasses, and English oak woodwork, the historic house museum is managed by Preservation Oklahoma and is renowned for gentle ghost encounters involving Henry Overholser and his family.
