Established in 1847 in Richmond, Virginia, Hollywood Cemetery is a stunning 135-acre rural garden cemetery overlooking the James River. Final resting place of United States Presidents James Monroe and John Tyler, Confederate President Jefferson Davis, 28 Confederate generals, and over 18,000 Civil War soldiers, the cemetery is equally famous for urban folklore including the legendary Richmond Vampire mausoleum and the protective cast-iron dog statue.
