Shiloh National Military Park
Located along the Tennessee River in Hardin County, Tennessee, Shiloh National Military Park preserves the site of one of the bloodiest engagements of the American Civil War. Fought on April 6–7, 1862, the Battle of Shiloh resulted in over 23,700 total casualties. Today, the peaceful 5,000-acre park, containing thousands of soldier graves, sunken roads, and dense woodlands, is widely regarded as one of America's most supernatural battlefields, haunted by phantom drumbeats, spectral soldiers, and glowing ghost lights.
