Ghost Town
3/5
Nuttallburg
Nuttallburg is one of the most complete coal mining ghost towns remaining in the New River Gorge region of West Virginia. Established in 1870 by English immigrant John Nuttall, the town prospered for decades as a thriving industrial hub. Today, its abandoned coal tipple, coke ovens, and overgrown foundations are shadowed by paranormal legends of disembodied footsteps, phantom industrial clanking, and ghostly miners walking along the old railway tracks.
