Yorktown Memorial Hospital
Opened in 1950 by the Felician Sisters of the Roman Catholic Church, Yorktown Memorial Hospital operated for nearly four decades in DeWitt County, Texas. Following its closure in 1986, the abandoned medical facility became infamous as one of the most intensely haunted buildings in the United States, feared for reports of shadow figures, talking dolls, phantom nuns, and aggressive poltergeist activity.
