Kenmore Asylum
Kenmore Asylum (officially Kenmore Psychiatric Hospital) is a vast, decommissioned Victorian-era psychiatric complex located in Goulburn, New South Wales. Opened in 1895 and covering over 130 hectares, it housed thousands of psychiatric patients and briefly served as an Australian Army hospital during World War II. Widely cited as one of Australia's most haunted abandoned locations, it is infamous for stories of patient suicides, phantom screams, shadowy apparitions in abandoned wards, and oppressive negative energy.
