The Frost Place
Nestled on Ridge Road in Franconia, New Hampshire, The Frost Place is a historic 1850s farmhouse and National Register landmark that served as the home of iconic four-time Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Robert Frost from 1915 to 1920. It was in this picturesque White Mountains retreat that Frost wrote many of his immortal poems, including 'The Road Not Taken' and 'Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening.' Beyond its literary reverence, the house is rumored to be haunted by the spirit of Robert Frost himself, with docents and resident poets reporting hearing disembodied voice recitations, soft rocking chairs moving on the porch, and ghostly footsteps.
