Stierchen Bridge
The Stierchen Bridge is an ancient stone pedestrian arch crossing the Alzette River in the picturesque Grund district beneath the Bock rock in Luxembourg City. Dating back to the fifteenth century, this narrow stone bridge formed part of the outer fortress defenses connecting the Wenceslas wall. It is legendary across Luxembourg as the hunting ground of the Stierches-geescht, a menacing shape-shifting ghost said to assault nocturnal travelers.
