Schoenfels Castle
Dominating the peaceful Mamer River valley as part of Luxembourg's famous Valley of the Seven Castles, Schoenfels Castle is best known for its towering medieval donjon. Built in 1292 by Ferri de Sconevels, the imposing stone keep rises twenty-one meters above lush parkland. Local folklore connects the isolated tower to mysterious midnight sightings, phantom footsteps, and tales of a solitary medieval knight who guards the valley.
