    Majlis al Jinn, translated as the Gathering Place of the Jinn, is one of the largest subterranean cave chambers in the world. Located on the remote Selma Plateau in eastern Oman, this enormous cavern features a ceiling opening where shafts of sunlight pierce down nearly 400 feet into pitch darkness. According to Bedouin tradition, the cavern was formed when a lightning bolt struck the earth, opening a portal where spirits gather under cover of night.
