Ekom Nkam Waterfalls
Ekom Nkam Waterfalls is a dramatic natural wonder in western Cameroon where the Nkam River plummets eighty meters down twin basalt cliffs surrounded by dense tropical jungle. Made internationally famous as the filming location for the 1984 film Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, the falls hold deep spiritual significance for the indigenous Bakaka people. Local tradition holds that the churning waters harbor Mami Wata water deities, phantom vocalizations, and mystical mists.
