Corregidor Island
Guarding the entrance to Manila Bay, Corregidor Island is a tadpole-shaped island fortress steeped in dark military history. Officially known as Fort Mills during the American colonial period, it endured intense bombardments during World War II, serving as the final stand for Allied forces in 1942. With its subterranean Malinta Tunnel complex, ruined bomb-scarred barracks, and thousands of wartime casualties, Corregidor is world-renowned for its haunting atmosphere and spectral activity.
