Grandmaster's Palace
The Grandmaster's Palace in Valletta is one of Malta's grandest historical monuments and the traditional seat of government. Built in the late 16th century by the Knights Hospitaller, the massive palatial complex features opulently decorated State Rooms, extensive tapestries, and the historic Armoury. Beyond its political legacy, the palace is renowned for unusual hauntings, including phantom cats and dogs, a dueling Spanish knight, and an English officer whose clanking chains echo through the State Rooms after dark.
