Beelitz-Heilstätten
Sprawling across two hundred hectares of dense pine forest southwest of Berlin, Beelitz-Heilstätten is a legendary sixty-building hospital complex. Originally constructed in 1898 as a state-of-the-art tuberculosis sanatorium, the site served as a massive military field hospital during both World Wars, treating Adolf Hitler in 1916. Decades of Soviet military occupation, tragic medical history, and creepy urban decay have made it one of Europe's most famous haunted locations.
