American Mission Hospital (American Cultural Centre)
The American Mission Hospital, now operating as the American Cultural Centre, is a historic waterfront landmark in Kuwait City's Qibla district. Built between 1911 and 1914 as Kuwait’s first modern medical facility, the complex treated thousands of patients over several decades. Despite its peaceful modern role as an Islamic art museum, long-standing medical lore speaks of ghostly nurses, footsteps in quiet corridors, and slamming doors.
