Dragsholm Castle
Dragsholm Castle is one of Denmark’s oldest fortified structures and is widely celebrated as the most haunted castle in Scandinavia. Originally constructed around 1215 by the Bishop of Roskilde, the castle served as a medieval fortress, a state prison, and a noble manor before becoming a luxury hotel. Centuries of dramatic history, tragic imprisonments, and accidental discoveries have given rise to legendary resident ghosts, including the infamous Earl of Bothwell, the tragic White Lady trapped in the walls, and the faithful Grey Lady.
