Sanjay Van is a massive, densely wooded city forest covering over 780 acres between Vasant Kunj and Mehrauli in South Delhi. Part of the ancient Aravalli hill range, the forest contains medieval Sufi mausoleums, old fortification walls of Lal Kot, and dense old-growth canopy. Beyond its role as Delhi's green lungs and a bird sanctuary, Sanjay Van is widely feared across the capital as a paranormal hotspot, famous for reports of a weeping woman in white, phantom children, and mysterious disembodied voices echoing through the dark trees.
