    Brestovac Sanatorium

    Brestovac Sanatorium is a sprawling, abandoned medical complex hidden in the thick forests of Mount Medvednica above Zagreb. Built in 1909 by journalist Milivoj Dežman out of love for the tragic actress Ljerka Šram, who suffered from tuberculosis, the facility became a premier pulmonary treatment hospital. However, during World War II, it was converted into a military hospital where hundreds of wounded soldiers were executed in 1945. Left to crumble after its final closure in 1968, Brestovac is now one of Croatia's most famous urban exploration and haunted hotspots.

    Jurjevsko Cemetery

    Jurjevsko Cemetery, also known as the Old St. George's Cemetery, is an ancient burial ground located on the lush hills of Zagreb's Upper Town (Gornji Grad). Originally recorded in 1368 as a burial site for the poor and pauper population, it expanded in 1776 to become Zagreb's main municipal cemetery. Discontinued in 1876 when Mirogoj Cemetery opened, Jurjevsko became a romantic yet eerie park of crumbling tombstones, mausoleums, and dense ivy. It is widely considered one of Zagreb's most atmospheric and haunted historic locations.

    Villa Auer

    Villa Auer is a historic Art Nouveau mansion built in 1903, tucked away in the prestige forest neighborhood of Tuškanac along Nazorova street in Zagreb. Designed by renowned architect Viktor Kovačić, the villa was built over a portion of an ancient 17th-century cemetery. Abandoned for decades during the late 20th century, the mysterious villa earned a terrifying local reputation for disembodied crying, strange shadows, and poltergeist activity. Recently renovated as a private residence, it remains one of Zagreb's most famous haunted mansions.

    Villa Rebar

    Villa Rebar is a ruined hunting lodge and former villa complex situated on the southern slopes of Mount Medvednica above Zagreb. Built in 1932 by Zagreb mayor Marko Kostrenčić, it became the heavily fortified residence of Ante Pavelić, leader of the WWII fascist Ustaše regime, who commissioned an intricate network of underground escape tunnels beneath the mansion. Later converted into a luxury hotel and restaurant after the war, Villa Rebar was mysteriously destroyed by fire in 1979 and left abandoned. Its dark historical associations and pitch-black tunnels make it a premier site for urban legends and paranormal reports.
