Kudahuvadhoo Hawitta Mound
Kudahuvadhoo Hawitta is an enigmatic archaeological mound in Dhaalu Atoll famous for its extraordinary pre-Islamic coral stone masonry. World-famous Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl investigated Kudahuvadhoo in the 1980s, marveling at coral wall construction so perfectly fitted that not even a knife blade could pass between the blocks. Local tradition regards the site as an ancient spiritual sanctuary wrapped in pre-Islamic mysteries and protected by unseen island guardians.
