Dhiyamigili Palace Ruins
Dhiyamigili Palace Ruins on Madifushi Island in Thaa Atoll mark the ancestral seat of the royal Dhiyamigili Dynasty, which ruled the Maldives during the 18th century (1704-1759 AD). Founded by Sultan Mohamed Ghiyaasudddine's lineage, the palace complex witnessed royal court drama, foreign invasions, and eventual tragic downfall. Today, the overgrown coral palace foundations are shrouded in haunting royal legends, tales of hidden treasure, and phantom royal apparitions.
