    Verdala Palace is a magnificent Renaissance fortified palace located within Buskett Gardens in Siġġiewi. Built in 1586 by Grand Master Hugues Loubenx de Verdalle, it serves as the official summer residence of the President of Malta. The palace is renowned for its architectural beauty and for the haunting of the Blue Lady, the tragic spirit of a niece of a Grand Master who fell to her death while trying to escape an unwanted marriage.
