Chalibarirdihi Village, located in the rural heartlands of Bankura district in West Bengal, is locally infamous as Bengal's 'Village of Ghosts'. Once a thriving agrarian hamlet, Chalibarirdihi was shattered by a deadly epidemic decades ago that killed scores of villagers and prompted a mass exodus. Subsequent attempts to resettle the village failed after tragic incidents and widespread fear of malevolent spirits forced residents to abandon their homes once again, leaving only a single brave family living amidst crumbling ruins.
