The Haunted Peepal Tree near Dasuya in Hoshiarpur district, Punjab, is an ancient roadside tree located close to the regional railway tracks. Deeply rooted in local folklore, the tree gained notoriety after a fatal road accident nearby in which two women tragically lost their lives. Locals believe their uncremated spirits took residence within the sprawling branches of the sacred peepal tree, causing night commuters to report eerie chills and phantom sightings.
