Jatan Nagar Palace
Jatan Nagar Palace is a sinister, crumbling 100-room mansion perched atop a 300-foot forested hill near Dhenkanal, Odisha. Built in the 1930s by Prince Narsingh Pratap Singh Deo using forced labor, the unfinished palace became notorious for the extreme torture and deaths of laborers during construction. Today, its abandoned ruins—featuring 99 doors and secret underground chambers—are shunned by locals, who report tormenting screams, clanking chains, and spectral apparitions wandering its overgrown stone corridors.
