GP Block in Meerut's Civil Lines area is one of Northern India's most famous abandoned residential compounds. Comprising several double-story colonial-style bungalows left to decay amidst overgrown forest, the site earned national notoriety due to persistent reports of strange apparitions, including four ghostly men sitting around a single candle drinking beer and a phantom woman in a red dress seen exiting the empty buildings.
