Fernhills Royal Palace
Fernhills Royal Palace in Ooty, built in 1842 as the summer residence of the Maharajas of Mysore, is one of South India's grandest heritage hotels. Spanning 50 acres of manicured gardens and cedar forests, the Swiss-chalet style palace gained nationwide paranormal notoriety during the shooting of the 2002 Bollywood horror blockbuster 'Raaz', when cast and crew experienced chilling nocturnal phenomena, including phantom furniture movements and ghostly footsteps.
