Built in the 18th century and named after Maratha general Yashwantrao Holkar, the bridge has accumulated a dark supernatural reputation over decades due to tragic drownings, fatal traffic accidents, and proximity to colonial military cemeteries. Nighttime commuters report seeing spectral figures, mysterious lights, disembodied cries, and experiencing sudden, inexplicable vehicle breakdowns.

    Shaniwar Wada Fort

    Shaniwar Wada is a majestic 18th-century Maratha fortification located in Pune, Maharashtra. Built in 1732 by Peshwa Baji Rao I as the seat of the Maratha Empire, this historic seven-story complex was reduced to ruins by a devastating fire in 1828. It is internationally famous as one of India's most haunted places due to the gruesome murder of 18-year-old Peshwa Narayanrao in 1773. On full moon nights, locals and visitors report hearing haunting screams echoing 'Kaka, Mala Vachva!' ('Uncle, save me!').
