    Fisher's Ghost Site

    CampbelltownAustralia1826–Present

Fisher's Ghost Site, located along Fisher's Ghost Creek in Campbelltown, New South Wales, is the location of Australia's most famous and historically documented ghost story. In June 1826, Frederick Fisher, a wealthy freed convict farmer, vanished mysteriously. Four months later, a prominent local resident named John Farley reported seeing Fisher's glowing apparition sitting on a wooden fence bridge, pointing silently toward a nearby creek bed. A police investigation guided by Indigenous trackers uncovered Fisher's shallow grave at the exact spot pointed out by the spirit, leading to the murder conviction and hanging of his greedy neighbor, George Worrall.

    DhakaBangladesh1921

Jagannath Hall is a historic residential hall for minority students at the University of Dhaka, established in 1921. The hall carries a deeply solemn and tragic history. On the night of March 25, 1971 ('Operation Searchlight'), Pakistani military forces launched a brutal assault on the hall, massacring dozens of unarmed resident students, professors, and staff before forcing survivors to dig a mass grave on the hall grounds. Fourteen years later, on October 27, 1985, the roof of the hall’s assembly building collapsed during a student gathering, killing 39 people. Students and visitors report ghostly weeping, phantom footsteps in corridors, and spectral figures near the mass grave memorial on autumn nights.

    Tomb of General Yuan Chonghuan

    BeijingChina1630

The Tomb and Memorial Shrine of General Yuan Chonghuan, situated in Beijing's Dongcheng District, honors one of the Ming Dynasty’s most tragic military heroes. General Yuan successfully defended Northern China against the Jurchen (Manchu) invaders, but fell victim to a malicious defamation plot orchestrated by enemy spies. Tricked into believing Yuan was a traitor, the Chongzhen Emperor ordered his brutal public execution by 'lingchi' (death by a thousand cuts) in 1630. For centuries, reports of a headless spectral general patrolling the tomb grounds late at night have persisted among Beijing locals.

Sinchon Museum of American War Atrocities

    SinchonDemocratic People's Republic of Korea1958

Located in Sinchon County, South Hwanghae Province, the Sinchon Museum of American War Atrocities is one of the most sobering and emotionally intense dark historical sites in North Korea. Established in 1958 and heavily expanded in 2015, the memorial complex documents the deaths of over 35,300 civilians—approximately a quarter of the county's total population—who perished during fifty days of intense conflict between October 17 and December 7, 1950, during the Korean War. Built directly over the historic bomb shelters, air-raid vaults, and mass grave mounds where thousands of women and children were executed, the complex retains an overwhelming atmosphere of historical trauma. Visitors, caretakers, and local guides report intense paranormal activity, including disembodied weeping inside the underground bomb shelters, drastic temperature drops, and shadowy specters wandering the memorial courtyards at night.
