Borella Kanatte Cemetery
Borella Kanatte Cemetery is the primary multi-denominational burial ground in Colombo, spanning nearly 48 acres in the heart of the capital. Established by British colonial authorities in 1866, the sprawling necropolis houses Victorian tombs, Commonwealth War Graves from both World Wars, and the graves of notable historical figures including author Sir Arthur C. Clarke. It is widely regarded as one of Colombo's most active paranormal hotspots, famous for phantom apparitions, disembodied whispers, and spectral colonial figures.
